Before leaving the forest one day I thought to myself

"What if I could never come back?

What if today was my last day in the woods?”

I sat down and tried to take in enough for a lifetime.

The next day I craved going back

just as if I would crave food or water

and I realized

the forest is like oxygen to me

I can’t get enough in one day to last a lifetime.
